The countdown continues for the Royal Wedding, which made us think of castles. Getting married abroad in a castle would be such a magical experience. We found these two lovely castles (two of many castles used in England and Scotland for weddings) to share with our readers.

Chicago Wedding Planner Hope Weis shared this exquisite wedding with us this week. This intimate wedding of 70 was treated to an evening of fine dining and fine wines. It was important to bride and groom Lisa Miller & Jim Knight that they create an evening similar to dining at one of their favorite restaurants in Chicago – Spiaggia. Regarded internationally as an influential culinary force, Chef Tony Mantuano’s Spiaggia is the only four-star Italian restaurant in Chicago.

From Elizabeth Messina’s Kiss the Groom blog, these photos had Kay thinking of “The Notebook,” and me of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby.” We both agreed that this setting and the gowns are very romantic and we’d love to be there! So brides, if it fits your style, don’t shy away from the beauty of lace or from wispy touches of femininity when searching for your wedding gown and wedding accessories. It’s a unique statement of your personality and grace.

Lewis Miller Design, one of our StrictlyWeddings.com New York Floral & Event Design partners, is so versatile. We captured these recent images of his work from his blog. Even though his transformation was part of a perfume launch, Bulgari’s Mon Jasmine Noir, we thought it might give some of our New York City brides some ideas for a lush, verdant wedding.

Looking for something different for our brides, we reached out to the West Coast and found this wonderfully different use of succulent flowers beautifully intertwined with the more “normal” flowers often found in weddings. The floral designer is Heavenly Blooms …and they are.

We were so taken back when the ONE AND ONLY Karen Wise shared this wedding with us. It was a match made in heaven – her exquisite work and the magnificent One and Only Palmilla Hotel in Cabo San Lucas.

A post-wedding brunch is a delightful way to get family and good friends together, and to provide a warm send-off for the bride and groom, who may be honeymoon-bound later in the day. Brunch is usually held the morning after the wedding, and it tends to be an intimate affair, often including only family members, the wedding party, and out-of-town guests who are especially close to the bride and groom.

In less than two weeks all eyes will be glued to any and all coverage on the Royal Wedding. You can’t read (or watch) any media outlet without some tidbit on Prince William and Catherine Middleton (we even read one story saying that one will no longer be able to refer to the bride-to-be as “Kate” but rather “Catherine” due to her new Royal title!).

We received this fab wedding from our New York StrictlyWeddings.com partner Gruber Photographers that showcased this very cool venue in the heart of New York City - 632onHudson. Originally built in 1847 as a townhouse for the family of a sashmaker, 632 Hudson Street was converted to a general store and produce market late in the 19th century by Hugh King, whose name appears on the pediment.

Since one of our New York Partners is Cipriani, we thought we would let you experience Venice from the lens of our StrictlyWeddings.com friend, Italian Photographer Rochelle Cheever. She rang me up and asked me what I loved about Venice. I gave her my list and off she went. These photos are so wonderful and beautifully capture the romance of Venice – a perfect Honeymoon destination. Strolling the city, it is all so inviting. It’s a glorious, theatrical experience that touches all the senses.

Los Angeles florist and event planner Heavenly Blooms celebrated Cinco de Mayo this year with an inspirational shoot that included some wonderful Spanish touches. Being in Texas, we felt a certain kinship to the Spanish and Mexican design elements and the wedding gown? Exquisite.

Many brides share a lifelong dream of getting married barefoot on the beach. This bride’s vision was realized in an intimate ceremony at Paiko Beach, a hidden strip of sand on Oahu’s south shore. The couple then switched gears (and clothes) with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace, which happens to be the oldest Catholic cathedral in the United States.
